Whirl Mini Laser Mouse Review

The Truth About Ergonomic Products
Many ergonomic products on the market today are designed to find the perfect “fixed position” to alleviate stress to the user’s hands and wrists while they work. These products are designed with the belief that by placing the user’s hands and wrists at a “natural” angle this will properly address Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI). However, studies show repetition, not the position, induces RSI such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), proving that any fixed position will not solve the problem. In fact, over time, prolonged work in the same position will only cause injury no matter how natural the position.

Here is what I think:

I got a free Whirl Mini Laser Mouse as part of a product review. I have been using this mouse for approximately a week now at work, substituting my normal mouse. I already use an ergonomic keyboard at work so thought this would be a good one to try out. I must say I have noticed a difference. I love how the mouse has a pivot system that allows it to pivot up, down, and side to side. It lets my hand find the right and comfortable position for each movement with the mouse. It did take a little while to get use to but it was worth it. I love this mouse. I have had wrist problems for some time due to constant clicking on a keyboard at work and then back again at home. It never fails my wrists get a work out. So if you are like me and get sore wrists this is something you should check out and say goodbye to aches and pains from a standard mouse. Not only that it uses a nano-tranceiver instead of those big bulky USB sticks that get bumped and knocked out of your computer. You can hardly tell that it is plugged in and it was real easy to set up. I just plugged it in and Windows did the rest for me, talk about easy. I also noticed on the website that not only can I a right handed user use this mouse but a lefty would have no problem using it as well due to its Ambidextrous Design. So if you have a lefty and a righty in the house this is the mouse for you.
